ADDENDUM: A competition? Heracy! Well it was done. And done...

I apologize in advance about the broken images all around the site. There's far too much traffic on the Aussie web right now, so at around... 6-7am here, I'll re-upload the broken files. I'm really sorry. In future I'll change when I update. You can all come back later to see the fixes if you so wish.

Sorry that I have to do this to you all again, but my html is nigh 4 years old now, and my passion for webdesign is equalled only by my passion for killing myself slowly and painfully. By this token, my next visual atrocity has been created. That being the links page I said I'd put up - so there it is; nestled comfortably next to the Dossier link. Go there to see the comics Mark and myself patron, and to help spread the love. Love MUST BE SPREAD!

On a lighter note; the Dossier page is also being updated, and some small corrections and better dossiers being put in place, including the former and latter style character avatar identification. You'll get what I mean if you take a look. Really.

And on an even lighter note to most of you; the Introduction page will be rehashed and changed. I haven't even looked at it for months, but I'm very confident in my and Mark's ability to write a load of complete bushcrack.

Now as I mentioned before, we're going to hold a competition. As you all know, I plaster Mark's name at the bottom of the comic, but the creative process when it comes to either drawing or writing isn't as you would think. It's more of a collective effort by both of us. We both just toss up ideas and dialogue until we're both happy with it, and I'll take as much input as I can into how he wants characters to look. So by all of you who diligently read these rants, maybe you can tell who writes which script. Think you're up to it? The prize is a rant, in the place of mine. Not much, but when you think about it - if this comic gains a lot more exposure and patronage, you will have made your mark on blancmange history! It makes me feel all gooey thinking about it. Heh... So all you need to do is this:

For comics 14, 15 and 16 (the E3 Australia arc,) guess correctly which of Mark or I wrote each of them. In other words, who out of Mark or myself wrote the 14th comic, then 15th, then 16th. So either Mark wrote them all, I wrote them all, or it was a 2/1 dealy. So there's a 1/8 chance of winning. All you have to do is be the first to e-mail me with the correct answer, and your e-mail address. I'll reply and tell you if you've won, and in two days of recieving it, I will have expected a reply with your complete rant for the site. Otherwise the next successful entrant will be notified and the process will continue. With any luck, next Monday's rant will belong to one of you. Good luck! Oh - and people who are characters on the comic can not enter. Mainly because you people know us, and would have a much better idea. Besides, if you guys want to put up a rant, all you have to do is ask! One entry per person too, please.

While collaborating on a crackpot get-rich-quick scheme, you want to keep your mind functioning at its peak. Thus, you eat good balanced and filling meals for days in advance. Then, on the day in question, you stock up on stimulants such as sugar rich foods, and Coca-Cola. But don't make the mistake I made. I bought enough for three people. But unfortunately, one of my co-conspirators is a skinny bastard what doesn't eat much, and the other is the sort that eats piles of savoury food in preference to sugary stuff. So, I chewed my way through the bulk of four large lamingtons, 18 doughnuts, and a packet of chocolate and marshmallow biscuits. I still feel fat, a day later. If my gut was not by now desensitized through years of abuse, I think I would have thrown up. But as it is, I merely spent the bus ride home thinking about how much of a damn glutton I am, and wishing I hade 2 litres of quality Streets Blue Ribbon low-fat Icecream to top it off with. And no, they didn't pay me, but I damn well wish they would. IN ICECREAM!
